About Woodburg

The company now known as Woodburg was started over 20 years ago in a small basement shop behind a railway station by me, Tom Woodburg. I had just graduated with a degree in history and wanted to sell antique maps. Many passers by came in looking for maps, directions, even suitcases, but not antique maps. So in desperation I added bags and new maps and then hats and raincoats and soon forgot about my antique maps.

Today, we sell travel clothes, kit and accessories in stores throughout the world and online. We source our goods from smaller, often family-owned companies. We look for value and quality from our network of suppliers. We also know our customers want something stylish, too.

People who shop at Woodburg are people-friendly, world-travelers. They like sharing their discoveries with othe rliked minded people. That's why the site has links to sites suggested by customers.
